My husband and I booked a charter with Captain Walt and the lovely Joyce for this past weekend. I cannot say enough about the whole experience. I don't even know where to start. First of all, the Captain has an incredible demeanor and obviously a matching skill set. The boat was immaculate! I am used to getting on a boat that is a little less loved, cutting my own bait, being covered in fish stink and bait. This was a completely new experience for me. I never got covered in fish, even when I tried! Lol!. There was even a hand sanitizer and satellite music. Joyce is an amazing first mate and woman. She is very skilled at running lines, making sure there are no tangles and the woman can net a fish! They have their trade secrets and boy do they work. We hit our limit in 4 to 5 hours and were back at the dock and on our way. I would highly recommend Trophy Charters to anyone looking for a charter on Lake Erie. We will absolutely go again. Even in a short amount of time we felt like we had known Walt and Joyce forever. Their passion for their sport, each other and their boat is highly evident and there is an obvious pride in their business and their boat and it shows! We will absolutely be visiting them again!
